Bevko Vitamin D3 5,000 IU + K2 (MK-7) 100 mcg, Bone, Heart & Immune Support, 90 Vegan Capsules
Product Description:
Most people know about vitamin D and its role in supporting healthy bones, but did you know that researchers have found that it also affects key cells of the immune system?
Sub-optimal levels of vitamin D may increase the risk of a host of chronic diseases beyond osteoporosis including: heart disease, certain cancers, multiple sclerosis, and some infectious diseases. Laboratory studies show that vitamin D can play a critical role in controlling infections.
Vitamin D is both a nutrient we eat and a hormone our bodies make. Few foods are naturally rich in vitamin D, so the biggest dietary sources of vitamin D are fortified foods and vitamin supplements. For most people, the best way to achieve optimal vitamin D levels is through taking a supplement.
But Vitamin D needs K2 to help maximize its benefits. It helps your body absorb minerals while vitamin K2 directs the minerals to your bones, instead of joints and arteries – where it could cause problems. Vitamin K2 is synthesized by gut bacteria, which may be compromised in many individuals, so we’ve included the right proportion of vitamin K2 along with vitamin D3 in one supplement for optimal benefits.
Health benefits of vitamin K2:
• Heart health
• Bone health
• Supports a decrease anxiety and depression
• May help suppress genetic processes that lead to tumor growth
A vitamin D deficiency can lead to:
• Rickets/osteomalacia (weak bones in children/adults)
• osteoporosis
• muscle weakness
• heart disease
• hypertension
• cancer
One capsule contains 5000IU of D and 100 mcg of K2 to help support a healthy cardiovascular system, immune system, and strong bones.
Note: Vitamin K should not be taken with certain anticoagulant medications. Please consult with your doctor about any supplements you are taking.
