Ingredients
- 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1–2 cloves garlic, peeled
- Fresh lemon juice, to taste (about 1–2 tablespoons)
- Sea salt, to taste
- 1–2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or grapeseed oil (more if needed)
- 2–4 tablespoons water, as needed for desired consistency
Instructions
- Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and sea salt to a food processor.
- Process until the mixture begins to smooth out.
- Slowly drizzle in the olive oil or grapeseed oil while the processor is running.
- Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the hummus reaches your preferred creamy consistency.
- Taste and adjust with more lemon juice, garlic, or sea salt as desired.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
